Comrade Amal Sen’s 18th death anniversary tomorrow
JASHORE, Jan 16, 2021 (BSS) – The 18th death anniversary of Tebhaga Movement veteran , also founding president of Bangladesher Workers Party Comrade Amal Sen, will be observed tomorrow in a befitting manner .
To mark the death anniversary, a two-day long programme has been chalked out to observe the occasion including placing of wreaths at his tomb and discussion meeting.
Comrade Amal Sen Smriti Rakkha Committee is organizing the programme to be held on the premises of Barki Secondary School in Bagherpara upazila of the district.
Central leader of Bangladesher Workers Party and MP of Satkhira-1 constituency Mostofa Lutfullah will address the discussion as chief guest while president of the Amal Sen Smriti Rakkha Committee Professor Rabindranath Biswas will preside over the function.
Former MP of Narail-1 constituency Advocate Sheikh Hafizur Rahman, member of central committee and President of Narail district committee of Bangladesher Workers Party Advocate Nazrul Islam and local leaders will address the discussion.
Amal Sen was legendary politician of this subcontinent. He spent 19 years in jail to realize the rights of the people.
He was born in Afra village, Narail on July 19, 1913 and died in Dhaka on January 17, 2003.
