MEHERPUR, Jan 15, 2021 (BSS) – State Minister for Public Administration Farhad Hossain today stressed the need for creating skilled manpower through technical education.
“Skilled human resources need to be created through technical education aiming to build a prosperous Bangladesh,” he told a function here.
The function was arranged to inaugurate a technical school and college, built in Meherpur under the project ‘Establishment of one technical school and college in 100 upazilas’, of the Department of Technical Education, a ministry press release said.
Speaking as the chief guest, Farhad said Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman had put emphasis on technical education to build a prosperous Bangladesh.
He said the government, led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, has also undertaken various projects on technical education, which are making a significant contribution to creating skilled human resources in the country.
Chaired by deputy commissioner of Meherpur Mohammad Munsur Alam Khan, the function was addressed, among others, by secretary of Technical and Madrasa Education Department Md Aminul Islam Khan and project director Dr Sirajul Islam.
