Grants distributed among cancer patients in Narsingdi
NARSINGDI, Jan 14, 2021 (BSS) – The Department of Social Welfare distributed grants for the treatment of cancer, liver cirrhosis and heart disease patients in the district yesterday afternoon.
A distribution function was held at Deputy Commissioner’s (DC) conference room
arranged by District Administration and Social Welfare Department.
DC Syeda Farhana Kawnine was present as the chief guest in the function.
Twenty one patients of Narsingdi Sadar upazila, 28 in Raipura upazila, 21 in Shibpur Upazila, 10 in Monohardi upazila, six in Belabo upazila,16 in Polash upazila and 11 in Narsingdi Social Welfare office got the grants.
Each patient received TK 50,000 as grants.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Komal Kumar Goash, Deputy Director of Social Welfare (Acting) Mohammad Nayem Jahangir, among others were present.
