Blankets distribution among cold-hit people in Mymensingh
MYMENSINGH, Jan 14, 2021(BSS) – The government has continued distribution of blankets to the poor and distress people throughout the country.
Under the programme, district administration has been distributing blankets at a cost of Tk 96 lakh in all 13 upazilas including 10 pourashavas of the district.
District Relief and Rehabilitation Office sources told BSS that, of the total Taka 78 lakh in 13 upazilas and Tk 18 lakh in 10 pourashavas of the district. Sources said the blankets at Taka 6 lakh are being distributed among the cold-hit poor and distressed people in each upazila of the district.
The upazilas are: Mymensingh Sadar, Muktagacha, Phulbaria, Trishal, Bhaluka, Gafargeon, Nandail, Ishwargonj, Gouripur, Tarakanda, Haluaghat and Dobaura.
District Relief and Rehabilitation Officer Sanuar Hossen said the blankets are being distributed fairly among the cold hit people through upazila administration.
The beneficiaries are happy to get blankets during the current winter season. They thanked to the present government for blankets during the running extreme cold wave.
