26 held over death of councillor aspirant’s supporter in Ctg
CHATTOGRAM, Jan 13, 2021 (BSS) – Police arrested 26 people, including a councillor candidate, from different parts of the port city today over the death of a supporter of a ward councilor aspirant of the upcoming Chattogram City Corporation elections.
A case was filed against 13 people including ward councilor candidate Abdul Kader in connection with the death of a supporter of a ward councilor candidate in a clash centering the upcoming Chattogram City Corporation election.
Azgar Ali Babul Sardar, a supporter of ward councilor aspirant Nazrul Islam, died on the spot as he was shot during a clash that took place between the rival groups yesterday.
