700 families of Rangunia receive relief assistance from Information Minister

CHATTOGRAM, Jan 13, 2021 (BSS)- NNK Foundation, a charity organisation belongs to Information Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud’s family, today provided relief assistance among 700 destitute families and students of various orphanages at Rangunia upazila on behalf of him.

The relief efforts were carried out in collaboration with King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre in Middle East, Saudi Arabia.

Khaled Mahmud, chairman of the NNK Foundation, presided over the discussion on the occasion of relief distribution at Nur Jahan Community Centre premises while Prof Gias Uddin Talukder, teacher of Arabic department of Chattogram University, addressed the function as special guest.

Professor Dr Abdul Mabud of Rangunia Government College conducted the function while Rangunia municipality Mayor Shahjahan Sikder, King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center Officer AbdullahAtef Ali, UP Chairman Sheikh Farid Uddin Chowdhury, Upazila Awami League Religious Affairs Secretary Jasim Uddin Talukder, Publicity Secretary Emrul Karim Rashed, Organising Secretary Jahedul Alam Chowdhury Ayub, Municipal Awami League General Secretary Mohammad Selim, and Awami League leaders – Halim Abdullah, Shafiul Alam, Enamul Haque- among others,addressed the function.

A total of 25 kg packets containing different types of food items were given to each person.
