7,983 pieces yaba pills recovered in C’nawabganj

CHAPAINAWABGANJ, Jan 12, 2021 (BSS) – Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) recovered 7,983 pieces of yaba tablets from Shibganj in the district last night.

BGB said acting on secret information, a special team of BGB-59 battalion led by its assistant director Mohammad Hafizur Rahman conducted a raid in a mango orchard at frontier Sonapur village near border pillar no. 185/1-S at 8.45 pm.

During the drive, the BGB personnel recovered the yaba tablets worth Tk 23, 94,900 in an abandoned condition.

While contacted, commanding officer of the battalion Lieutenant Colonel Mahmudul Hasan confirmed the matter, saying that noticing the presence of BGB members, the smugglers fled away leaving the yaba tablets.
