RANGPUR, Jan 11, 2021 (BSS) – Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-13 distributed education assistance among five poor disabled meritorious students in a function held at its battalion headquarters in the city today.
The elite force distributed Taka 10,000, one school bag and books among each of the five students as part of its ongoing RAB-13 Service Week marking the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, a release said.
Commanding Officer (CO) of RAB-13 Commander Reza Ahmmed Ferdous distributed the education assistance among the students in the function arranged strictly abiding by the health directives in the wake of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
During the RAB-13 Service Week, the elite force is donating blood, distributing foods among poor and distressed people and orphans, conducting tree plantation and public welfare services in different areas under its jurisdictions in Rangpur division.
On the occasion, the CO said that RAB-13 feels happy for becoming able to remain beside the socially backward disabled male and female students.
The education assistance recipient students from different areas under jurisdictions of RAB-13, their guardians, media workers and members of RAB-13 attended the function., the release added.
