Rokeya Begum passes away
DHAKA, Jan 11, 2021 (BSS) – Rokeya Begum, mother of Rimon Mahfuz, acting
editor of Dainik Sangbad Pratidin and assistant general secretary of
Bangladesh Chalachitra Sangbadik Samity (Bachsas), passed away at her
residence in Sirajganj at 4:45am today.
She was 85.
She left behind four sons, three daughters and a host of relatives and
admirers to mourn her death.
Rokeya Begum was laid to eternal rest at Rahmatganj Graveyard after Johr
prayers following a namaz-e-janaza here.
Rimon Mahfuz’s father Habibur Rahman, former Professor of Sirajganj
Government College and Gaforgaon College in Mymensingh, died on December 6,
2019.
