Four matches of Men’s Handball decided in opener
DHAKA, Jan. 10, 2021 (BSS)- Four matches of EXIM Bank 30th National Men’s Handball competition were decided on the opening day (Sunday) at Shaheed captain M Mansur Ali Handball Stadium in the city.
In the day’s opening matches, Panchagarh District Sports Association (DSA) beat Jessore DSA by 31-28 goals after the match was locked 16-16 at the first half, Bangladesh Police Handball team outplayed Narail DSA by 56-18 points after leading the first half by 27-9 goals, Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defense Party overpowered Narayanganj DSA by 53-07 goals after dominating the first half by 31-2 goals and Chattogram DSA outclassed Mymensingh DSA by 34-27 goals after leading the first half by 17-15 goals.
Earlier, Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change Secretary Ziaul Hasan ndc formally inaugurated the meet as the chief guest, sponsored by EXIM Bank and organised by Bangladesh Handball Federation (BHF).
BHF vice president Golam Habib presided over the opening ceremony.
The competition is being held with the participation of sixteen teams. The participating teams are Bangladesh Police Handball Club, Bangladesh Ansar, and Village Defense Party, Bandarban, Dhaka, Kushtia, Chapainawabganj, Chattogram, Panchagarh, Jessore, Mymensingh, Madaripur, Sunamganj, Faridpur, Jamalpur, Narayanganj and Narail DSAs.
