Body of college student recovered in Panchagarh, 2 held
PANCHAGARH, Jan 9, 2021(BSS) – Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) recovered the decomposed body of a college student from Chottodhap area under Atowary upazila of the district today.
The deceased was identified as Fahid Hasan Sipat, 18, son of Safiqul Islam of Chottodhap village in the upazila. Sipat was a twelfth grade student of Dinajpur Adarsha College.
Victim family sources said Sipat came out from his house at night for playing badminton on January 4. After come out, he did not return. Family members made an extensive search but could not trace him. His mobile phone was also switched off.
Next day on January 5, Sipat’s father filed a general dairy with Atowary Thana. The police conducted search drive in different areas over night, but could not find him.
Later, Sipat father Safiqul Islam informed the matter to RAB-13 Nilphamari. RAB Commander Reja Ahamed Ferdous after tracking victim mobile number and arrested Motiur Rahman, 24, and Limon, 22.
After getting their information, RAB recovered the body from underground. Atowary thana officer-in-charge Ejar Uddin told BSS that a case was filed in this regard.
