MANIKGANJ, Jan 9, 2021 (BSS) – A day long workshop on ‘Disaster Management’ was held at Singair Pilot High School here today.
A total of 275 union level members of the Disaster Management Committee of Singair Upazila participated in the workshop.
Md. Atiqul Huque, Director General, Directorate of Disaster Management, ATM Quamrul Islam Talukdar, Director, Planning and Development, Abu Saleh Mohammad Mohiuddin Khan, Director, Training and Co-ordination, Shayla Yeasmin, Welfare Officer (Adm.), Nitai De Sarkar, Deputy Director, Trining, Mosammat Shahina Akter, ADC (Rev.), Manikganj and Md. Awlad Hossain, District Relief and Rehabilitation Officer, Manikganj participated in the workshop as the resource person.
The training was given on how to aware the mass people to save them and their belongings from the disaster.
At the same time similar workshops were held at Harirampur Upazila, Saturia Upazila and Daulatpur Upazila of the district under the auspices of Directorate of Disaster Management.
