JASHORE, Jan 9, 2021 (BSS) – An elderly man was killed in a road accident
in Bejerdanga area on the Jashore-Khulna highway under Phultala upazila of
Khulna district last night.
The deceased was identified as Farazi Ashraf Hossain, 68, hailed from
Abhainagar upazila of the district.
Police said the accident occurred when a speeding truck hit Ashraf Hossain
in the area as he was crossing the highway around 9.30 pm, leaving him dead
on the spot.
Police seized the truck and held its driver.
A case was filed in this connection.
