5 arrested with snake venom worth Tk 85 cr in city
DHAKA, Jan 8, 2021 (BSS) – The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB-4) has arrested five active members of the international snake venom smuggling ring with snake venom worth around Taka 85 crore during a secret drive in Rampura Thana area of the capital today.
However, the names and details of the detainees were not immediately known.
The RAB raided the Iron gate area of Chowdhury para of Rampura Police Station this afternoon and arrested them with snake venom, RAB Legal and Media Wing Senior Assistant Director (ASP) Imran Khan confirmed the matter to BSS.
Legal actions will be taken in this regard.
