CHAPAINAWABGANJ, Jan 8, 2021 (BSS) – Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested two alleged drug peddlers with 358 bottles of contraband phensidyl from Shibganj in the district early this morning.
The arrestees were Md. Babu, 38,of Asam Colony under Rajshahi City Corporation and Md. Alibul Akib, 40, of Nijpara under Chapainawabganj Sadar upazila.
RAB said, acting on detective information, an operation team of RAB-5 from Rajshahi Mollapara camp raided Pukuria village under Kansat union of Shibganj upazila in the district at 4-15 am and arrested the duo with the bottles of phensidyl.
Later, the arrested persons were handed over to the police of Shibganj thana with a case under Narcotics Control Act.
