Samuda Food Products Ltd lays foundation stone at BSMSN
DHAKA, Jan 8, 2021 (BSS) – Samuda Food Products Limited, a sister concern of the TK Group, has laid foundation stone for setting up industry at the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Shilpa Nagar (BSMSN) under Mirsharai and Shitakundo of the Chattrogram district and Sonagazi upazila of Feni district.
Executive Chairman of Bangladesh Economic Zones Authority (BEZA) Paban Chowdhury today laid the foundation stone at a function at the Shilpa Nagar, said a press release.
Senior officials of the TK Group and Samuda Food Products Limited were present on the occasion.
As per the investment proposal of the Samuda Food Products, the company is planning to invest US$205.28 million on 60 acres land for setting up different chemical factories, consumer goods and food processing plants.
The company is likely to create around 2000 employment opportunities.
Three units will be built in the proposed factory – edible refinery, caustic soda unit and seed crossing unit. The edible refinery part will have various consumables, caustic soda part will have raw salt, brine clarifier, chlorine unit etc. On the other hand, soybean product will be prepared in the seed crushing unit.
