6.3-magnitude quake hits Kermadec Islands, New Zealand: USGS

HONG KONG, Jan 8, 2021 (BSS/XINHUA) – An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.3
jolted Kermadec Islands, New Zealand at 00:28:49 GMT on Friday, the U.S.
Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 222.3 km, was initially determined to be at
29.4066 degrees south latitude and 178.7617 degrees west longitude.
