PIROJPUR, Jan 7, 2021 (BSS) – At least one lakh seven thousand people of the district received various types of digital services from district and union parishad digital centres directly last year.
This service is provided through the front desk of the district administration office and union digital centers of the district.
At least 104 entrepreneurs were provided the services from the union digital centers in 52 Union Parishad Bhaban Complex of the district from January 1 to December 31, 2020.
At this time, the entrepreneurs have become self-reliant and have brought prosperity to their families by earning Taka 15 lakh 48 thousand 943 by providing services.
The service recipients are 3945 in Pirojpur Sadar, 1054 in Nazirpur, 3513 in Nesharabad, 5959 in Kaukhali, 8040 in Bhandaria, 21830 in Indurkani and 11666 in Mathbaria upazila.
Existing services of Union Digital Centers include Citizenship Certificate, Birth Registration, Death Registration, Government Form Download, Land purpose Application, All Types of Citizen Application, Life Insurance, Telemedicine, Electricity Bill Payment, Public Examination Result, Online University Admission, Passport Application and Visa Verification, Logistic support for various campaigns, Pre-registration of Hajj passengers, Computer training, Photography, E-mail and Browsing on Internet etc.
At the same time, digital services have been provided to 51,202 people from the front desk of the Deputy Commissioner’s office. These services included accepting and distributing duplicate applications, accepting citizen applications, accepting all types of letters from the Deputy Commissioner’s Office.
Assistant Commissioner and Executive Magistrate Abdullah Khairul Islam Chowdhury, who is the in- charge of the ICT of the Pirojpur Deputy Commissioner’s Office, said various services are being provided to the service recipients with sincerity from the Union Digital Centers and e-service centers of the Deputy Commissioner’s Office.
