2 dies in city train accident
DHAKA, Jan 6, 2021 (BSS) – Two people were killed as they were
crushed under the wheels of a train on the railway line adjacent to
Khidmah Hospital in city’s Khilgaon area today.
The victims were Nurul Islam, 28, a salesman of ACI Company and his
colleague Rakib, 27, the residents of Dhaka.
The accident took place on the railway line around 12.30 pm, Dhaka
Railway Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Rakib Ul Hossain confirmed the
matter to BSS.
The OC said Nurul Islam and Rakib crossed the railway line and the
duo then accidentally got stuck under the train’s engine while
crossing the railway line together and immediately fell off and died
on the spot.
Being informed, Dhaka Railway Police rushed to the spot and
recovered the bodies and sent to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital
(DMCH) morgue for autopsy.
