DHAKA, Jan 4, 2021 (BSS) – Jatiya Sangsad Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury has expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of novelist Rabeya Khatun.
In a condolence message last night, the Speaker prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family members.
Besides, Deputy Speaker of the Jatiya Sangsad M Fazley Rabbi Miah and Chief Whip Nur-E Alam Chowdhury Liton condoled the death of Independence and Ekushey Padak recipient novelist Rabeya Khatun.
Novelist Rabeya Khatun, who was professionally a teacher and also an author of more than 50 novels, died of a cardiac arrest at her own residence in Banani on Sunday evening at the age of 85.
