CHAPAINAWABGANJ, Jan 3, 2021 (BSS) – Police recovered the body of a three years old boy from an open septic tank of Chapainawabganj Sadar Hospital last night three days after the boy went missing.
The deceased was identified as Rohan, son of Sujon Ali, a resident of Masjidpara area in the district town.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Chapainawabganj Sadar Model Police Station M Mozaffar Hossain said the child went missing on the evening of December 31. Later, the victim’s family filed a general diary with the police station.
After analysing footage from different CCTV cameras, it was found that one person was suspiciously roaming around the hospital area carrying a child. Later, police recovered the body from the septic tank of the hospital at about 9pm, he said.
The body was sent to the hospital morgue for autopsy.
“We are working to identify the suspect from the CCTV footage”, the OC said.
