DHAKA, Jan 2, 2021 (BSS)- Fisheries and Livestock Minister SM Rezaul Karim
today said people of basic politics need to be well-established in politics.
“It’s the main politicians who lay the foundation of unified politics. If
politics is well established, our ideological foundation will be strong.
We’ll be able to deal with adversity, obstacles and untoward situations. When
the main politics becomes random, many things will break down like the house
of cards and that’s why we have to get out of the evil culture of sudden rise
and fall in politics,” he said.
The minister was speaking at a memorial meeting of Bangladesh Awami
League(AL) central leader and former state minister AKM Jahangir Hossain
organised by ‘Janatar Pratasha’ at the Dhaka Reporters’ Unity auditorium
here.
Recalling the political life of AKM Jahangir Hossain, the minister further
said in order to form an AL, Sheikh Hasina has to be obeyed and the original
AL has to be obeyed.
If Bangabandhu’s daughter Sheikh Hasina had not returned, today’s AL, the
government’s management and development would not have taken place like this
way, he added.
Rezaul said “Despite many adversities, Sheikh Hasina was in a stable
position. That’s why AL has been able to turn around. The war criminals have
been tried, the arrogance of Bangabandhu’s murderers has been crushed…
Sheikh Hasina is the reflection of Liberation War.”
He urged all to work hard so that they could implement Bangabandhu’s
ideology under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina.
AL presidium member Begum Matia Chowdhury, MP, Deputy Minister for Water
Resources AKM Enamul Hoque Shameem, AL central leader Dr Mustafa Jalal
Mohiuddin and AL Organising Secretary Ahmed Hossain were also present, among
others.
