Mannan mourns death of Ayesha Khanam
DHAKA, Jan 2, 2021 (BSS) – Planning Minister MA Mannan today expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of valiant freedom fighter and Bangladesh Mahila Parishad (BMP) president Ayesha Khanam.
In a message of condolence, the minister prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
Ayesha Khanam, also an active organizer of all the progressive movements, including student movements, died at a hospital in the city this morning at the age of 74.
She had been suffering from lung cancer for long.
