Winter clothes distributed among 2,000 people in Cumilla
CUMILLA, Jan 2, 2021 (BSS) – A total of 2000 cold-stricken people, living in Barura upazila of the district, got winter clothes from the Janakalyan Samiti to mitigate their sufferings caused by the cold wave.
On the occasion, a function was held at the Barura upazila parishad auditorium of the upazila at around 1pm today.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) of Barura Md. Anisul Islam, Barura Janakalyan Samiti adviser engineer Md. Abdul Quader, vice-president of the Samiti Deepak Bhowmik, and general secretary Md. Abdus Samad, among others, were present.
