DHAKA, Jan 1, 2021 (BSS) – Newly formed science and technology
affairs sub-committee of Awami League today paid tributes to Father of
the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Led by sub-committee Chairman Dr Hossain Mansur and member secretary
and AL Science and Technology Affairs Secretary Engineer Md Abdus
Sabur, leaders of the new committee placed a wreath at Bangabandhu’s
portrait at Dhanmondi road number 32 here.
After paying homage, Dr Hossain Mansur said under the leadership of
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the country is witnessing an
unprecedented development in all sectors including information and
communication technology.
The new sub-committee will work to cooperate with the government
efforts in taking ahead the country’s science and technology sector,
he said.
Abdus Sabur said the sub-committee is working round-the-clock to
resist the anti-Awami League propaganda and rumors.
He hoped the ‘Joy Bangla’ app made by the sub-committee will be
able to resist all rumors and showcase the development works of the
government before the 16 crore people of the country.
On December 29, Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader
approved the 72-member science and technology affairs sub-committee of
the party.
