NETRAKONA-DISCUSSION- MEETING
Ensuring free flow of information stressed
NETRAKONA Dec 31, 2020 (BSS) – Speakers at a discussion here today underlined the need for ensuring transparency and accountability in implementing rural infrastructure maintenance and repair programs of the government and hassle-free official service with free flow of information.
The ministry of disaster management and relief in cooperation with district administration organized the discussion on “Ensuring Effective Official Service Delivery and Right to Information Act-2009” at the conference room of Netrakona DC office.
Additional secretary of the ministry of disaster management and relief Rousan Ara Begum addressed the meeting as the chief guest with deputy commissioner (DC) Netrakona Kazi Mohammad Abdur Rahman in the chair.
The meeting was addressed, among others, by joint secretary of the relief ministry Abul Byes Mia, chairman of Netrakona Zilla Parishad Prasanta Kumar Ray, valiant freedom fighter Abdur Rahim, general secretary of Netrakona Press Club Shyamolendu Paul, director of Netrakona Chamber of Commerce and Industries Suhrab Uddin Akand and journalist Pallab Chakroborty.
The chief guest in his speech made a clarion call to all including officials and public representatives to work with utmost sincerity and honesty keeping in mind the spirit of patriotism and join their hands to the government efforts to build up the country as ‘Sonar Bangla’
