Three held with smuggled ganja in Rangpur
RANGPUR, Dec 31, 2020 (BSS) – Rangpur Metropolitan Police (RpMP) seized seven kg of smuggled ganja and arrested three persons from Nabdiganj Bazar point on the Rangpur-Kurigram highway in the metropolis on Wednesday night.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (DB and Media) of RpMP Uttam Kumar Pathak today said a special team of Mahiganj Thana police in a sudden raid arrested the three drug traders and seized the ganja from their possessions.
“The arrested people are: Mst. Manjuara, 35, of village Fakirpara in Kahalu upazila and Nurul Islam, 32, of village Laskarpur in Shibganj upazila of Bogra and Abul Kalam, 34, of village Anontapur in Phulbari upazila of Kurigram districts,” he said.
A case was filed in this connection with Mahiganj Thana police of RpMP today.
