JOYPURHAT, Dec 31, 2020 (BSS) – Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) rescued two abducted persons and arrested the kidnaper from Vitipara area of Sadar upazila here on Wednesday evening.
Joypurhat Camp Commander Additional Superintendent of Police MM Mohaimenur Rashid said the kidnaper kidnapped two innocent people and demanded Taka 1 lakh as ransom.
After receiving the complaint, RAB members rescued Yanur Hossain Sampad, 20, and Tarazul Islam, 28, after two hours of their abduction from the remote forest area and arrested abductor Shahinur Rahman, 24, the leader of the kidnapping gang, he said.
A case was filed with Joypurhat Sadar Police Station in this regard.
