BSTI holds public-hearing with stakeholders
DHAKA, Dec 30, 2020 (BSS)- Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution (BSTI) has organized a public-hearing today with its stakeholders to make the service more public-friendly and trouble free.
Director General of BSTI Dr. Md. Nazrul Anwar presided over the mass hearing held at BSTI headquarters in the capital’s Tejgaon while Director of BSTI (Administration) Taher Jamil, Director (Metrology) Abdul Mannan, Director Shamim Ara Begum, Director (CM) Md. Sajjadul Bari and other senior official were also present , said a press release.
Representatives from various business and service organizations, including New Zealand Dairy, Akij Food & Beverage Limited, ACI Limited, Brac Dairy & Food Products Godrej Household Products (BD) Private Limited, Walton Hi-tech Industries Limited, RFL Group were present at the public hearing and placed a set of recommendations.
Speakers in the meeting said according to the Citizen Charter, the services of BSTI are being extended at a faster time than the previous time.
They also proposed the formulation of new product standards and the inclusion of compulsory quality certificates for the products.
