Murad mourns death of freedom fighter Azhar Ali
DHAKA, Dec 30, 2020 (BSS) – State Minister for Information Dr Murad Hasan today expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of war-wounded freedom fighter of Sarishabari upazila in Jamalpur district Azhar Ali Sheikh.
In a condolence message, the state minister prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family members, said a press release.
Azhar, a fearless hero, who fought for independence taking the risk of his life, will always remain a great source of our inspiration, Murad said.
Freedom fighter Azhar Ali Sheikh is the father of Khorshed ul Alam, a former protocol officer to the Prime Minister and commercial counselor of the Bangladesh Mission in Los Angeles, USA.
He breathed his last at 1.30am last night.
