Educationist Professor Atful Hai Shibli dies
DHAKA, Dec 30, 2020 (BSS)- Eminent academic and historian Dr Atful Hai Shibli, also brother-in-law of Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen, has passed away last night at a city hospital while undergoing treatment.
He was 77, said a release issued here.
He left behind his wife, only son and a host of friends and well-wishers to mourn his death.
Professor Atful Hai Shibli was a Professor of Department of History and Vice-Chancellor of Rajshahi University
He retired from Rajshahi University in 2008.
He was a member of the University Grants Commission from 2008 to 2014.
On 18 August 2016, he joined the North East University of Sylhet as the Vice Chancellor.
