Over 45 lakh textbooks to be distributed in Jamalpur
JAMALPUR, Dec 30, 2020 (BSS) – The education department will distribute 45 lakh 99 thousand 929 textbooks free of cost among the students of madrasa and secondary level in the district.
District Education Office sources said the textbooks will be distributed among 357975 students of madrasa and secondary level in the new year-2021.
A total of 84,488 Ebtedayee students (class one to five) will get 59,9608 books, while 43,109 Dakhil students (class six to nine) 62,7656 books, 820 Dakhil (vocational) students 12,000 books, 2,19,011 secondary students ( class six to nine) 31,64302 books, 10537 SSC (vocational) students 136981 books, and 10 blind students 69 students.
Besides, 59313 books for SSC and Dakhil students were also allotted.
District Education Officer Monia Mostari Eva said all textbooks have been dispatched in all the upazilas for distribution among the students from January 1 next.
She said the new books will be distributed in phases following the health instruction to prevent Covid-19 pandemic.
