Railways minister’s wife’s death anniversary observed in Panchagarh
PANCHAGARH, Dec 30, 2020 (BSS) – The second death anniversary of Nilufa Zahan, wife of Railways Minister Md. Nurul Islam Sujan, was observed at Mohajonpara Moydandigi in Boda upazila of the district yesterday.
On the occasion, a Quran khani was held. A special doa mahfil was also offered seeking eternal peace of the departed souls of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, four national leaders and Nilufa Zahan.
During doa, a long life and sound health of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina was sought as well.
A memorial meeting was also held on the death anniversary of Nilufa Zahan.
At the function, Railways Minister Md. Nurul Islam Sujan said the present government is relentlessly working for overall development of the country.
He said Bangladesh is now self-reliant in food production under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
Minister’s son Koushik Nahian Nabid also addressed the function.
Deputy commissioner (DC) Sabina Yeasmin, police super Yousuf Ali, Zila Parished chairman Anower Sadat Samrat, five upazilas’ chairmen, thousands of AL leaders and workers and common peoples took part in the doa mahfil.
Nilufa Zahan died on December 29, 2018.
