RAJSHAHI, Dec 26, 2020 (BSS) – Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested three alleged drug peddlers with 1.55-kg heroin and 107-kg ganja conducting drives in Rajshahi and Naogaon districts on Friday.
The arrested persons were identified as Shameem Hossain, 30, son of Fahim Uddin, Mahubar Rahman, 32, son of Maksudar Rahman and Hafizur Rahman, 40, son of Aftab Uddin.
On a tip-off, a team of the elite force conducted a raid at Kasimala village under Godagari Upazila and arrested Shameem with 1.55 kilograms of heroin red-handed at 3.45 pm, RAB sources said this morning.
Another RAB team arrested the two others with 107-kg ganja after searching a truck following conducting a raid in Fatepur area under Manda Upazila in Naogaon district around 8.30 pm, they said.
The truck was also seized.
Later, the arrested persons along with the seized contraband goods were handed over to police.
Two separate cases were filed with the police stations concerned in these connections.
