3 held with 1.46 lakh Yaba tablets in Ctg
CHATTOGRAM, Dec 24, 2020 (BSS) – Chattogram district police in a drive arrested three drug peddlers along with 1.46 lakh pieces of contraband Yaba tablets from Anwara Sadar area of the district on Wednesday night.
Two motorcycles used for carrying drugs were seized from them during the drive, police sources said.
The arrested drug peddlers were identified as Mahamudul Hoque, 23, Mohammad Ibrahim,26, Jahed Hossain, 22, all hailed from Teknaf upazila of Cox’s bazar district.
Superintendent of Police SM Rashidul Haque said on secret information, Anwara Police Station and Patia Police Station jointly conducted the operation in the area and arrested them along with large consignment of Yaba pills.
A case was lodged with Anwara thana and the arrested persons along with the contraband items were handed over to police, he added.
