JS body for carrying passengers by train maintaining health rules

DHAKA, Dec 23, 2020 (BSS) – The Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry of Railways today recommended the Bangladesh Railway for carrying passengers by trains maintaining the health guideline as the number of coronavirus infection has increased across the country.

The parliamentary watchdog made the recommendation at its meeting held at the Sangsad Bhaban here with committee Chairman ABM Fazle Karim Chowdhury in the chairman, said a press release.

The committee discussed about fining the leaseholder for breaching the condition of car parking at the parking lot in front of Chattogram Railway Station, proper use of Natore railway land after recovering it from the possession of illegal land grabbers, recruitment of project directors for different projects and different development projects of the ministry.

Committee members Railways Minister Md Nurul Islam Sujan, Md Shafiqul Azam Khan, Gazi Mohammad Shahnawaz and Nadira Yeasmin Jolly attended the meeting.
