2 held for selling horse meat instead beef in Panchagarh
PANCHAGARH, Dec 23. 2020(BSS)- Boda thana police arrested two meat traders for selling horse meat in the name of beef at Chowdary hat in Boda upazila of the district on Tuesday night.
The arrestees were identified as Azizul Islam, 35 and Sanaulla, 30 of Kukuri village of the upazila.
The consumers alleged that they were selling horse meat instead of beef in the local bazar and informed the matter to Boda thana police.
Being informed, Boda thana police rushed to the spot and arrested them with 50 kilogram of horse meat.
Boda thana Officer-In-Charge Abu Sayem Chowdary said a case has been filed against them.
They have been sent to jail after produced before Panchagarh court today.
