Moulana Bad HS, Nouhata HS post win in School Football
DHAKA, Dec 21, 2020 (BSS) – Moulana Bad high School of Jhenaidah and Nouhata Govt. High School of Rajshahi won their respective final round matches of the National School Football tournament held today at Outer stadium, Palton in the city.
In the first match, Moulana Bad high School edged past Alhaj Jomirun Noor High School of Sunamganj by a solitary goal scored by Ontor Hossain in the 30th minute of the match.
Ontor Hossain of the winning team was named the player of the match for his impressive performance in the match.
In the day’s second match, Nouhata Govt. High School defeated Horidaspur Royal Technical School & College of Gopalganj by 2-0 goals.
In the day’s match, Tuhinuzzaman put Nouhata ahead in the 44th minute while Rabibul Islama Emon sealed the victory scoring the second goal for Nouhata in the 53rd minute of the match.
Tohinuzzaman of Nouhata was adjudged the best player of the match for his brilliant performance in the match.
A total of eight school teams, split into two groups, are taking part in the final round. The top two teams from each group will qualify for the semifinals and the two top teams will play the final to be held later stage.
Earlier, fifty-seven schools from fifty-seven districts from across the country took part in the preliminary round of the competition.
