RCCI distributes 500 blankets among cold-hit people in Rangpur

RANGPUR, Dec 21, 2020 (BSS) – Rangpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) today distributed 500 blankets among cold-hit poor and distressed people at a ceremony on RCCI Public School and College ground in the city.

RCCI with assistance of Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) distributed the blankets among cold-stricken people to mitigate their sufferings under their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programmes.

Acting Convener of its relief and reception management affairs sub-committee of RCCI and its Director Md. Obaidur Rahman Ratan presided over the ceremony arranged abiding by the health directives in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.

Senior Vice-president of RCCI Mostoba Hossain Ripon and its Vice-president Manzoor Ahmed Azad and with other officials distributed the blankets in the first phase today to be followed by distribution of the same in the second and third phases this season.

On the occasion, the RCCI Senior-vice President called upon different trade bodies, businesspersons, charity and voluntary organisations and financial institutions and affluent people to stand beside cold-hit people of Rangpur region.

RCCI Directors Md. Shahjahan Babu, Md. Motahar Hossain Mandal Mowla, Ajay Prasad Babon, Md. Amjad Hossain Chowdhury, Md. Ashraful Alam Al Amin, Partho Bose, Debobrata Sarker Ranju, Md. Zulfiquer Ali Khan Bhutto and Md. Habibur Rahman Raja, members of the relief and reception management affairs sub-committee of RCCI Swapna Rani Sen and Tapan Sharma were present.
