RAJSHAHI, Dec 21, 2020 (BSS) – Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), in an anti-crime drive, arrested two alleged drug peddlers with 4.19 kilograms of heroin here last night.
RAB sources said the arrested persons were identified as Kamrul Islam, 35, son of Saibur Rahman of Godagari Upazila and Omor Sharif Rony, 38, son of Golam Gaush of Haragram area in Rajshahi city.
On a tip-off, a team of RAB conducted a raid in two houses in Rajshahi Court Station area and arrested the persons with the huge contraband items around 10.30 pm, said Mainul Islam, Company Commander of RAB-5.
A case was recorded with Rajpara Police Station in this connection and the arrested persons with the seized contraband goods were handed over to police.
