Grenade kills three ‘street children’ in Ethiopian capital
ADDIS ABABA, Dec 21, 2020 (BSS/AFP) – A grenade explosion killed three children and injured five in the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa on Sunday, the Fana BC broadcaster reported.
“A grenade abandoned in an open area by as of yet unidentified people” exploded after the children handled it, Alemayehu Ayalqe, director of the Addis police organised crime division, was quoted as saying.
He described the victims as “street children”.
