2 held with 1,300 bottles of phensedyl in Hili
RANGPUR, Dec 20, 2020 (BSS) – Hakimpur Thana police seized 1,300 bottles of contraband phensedyl and arrested two presumed drug traders from Madhya Basudebpur near Hili border in Hakimpur upazila of Dinajpur today.
“On a tip off, police ambushed the bordering area and seized 1,300 bottles of smuggled Indian phensedyl and arrested the two persons from the spot while they were entering from India,” said Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Hakimpur Thana Ferdous Wahid.
The arrested persons are: Emon Hossain, 25, son of Babul Hossain of village Madhya Basudebpur village and Mashiur Rahman, 24, son of Mofiz Uddin of Naodapara village in Hakimpur upazila of Dinajpur district.
“A case was filed against the arrested persons under the Narcotics Control Act, 2018 in this connection with Hakimpur Thana police today, the OC added.
