Jomirun Noor HS post big win in School Football
DHAKA, Dec 19, 2020 (BSS) – Raj Uddin slammed a brilliant hat-trick saw Alhaj Jomirun Noor High School of Sunamganj registered an overwhelming 8-1 goals victory over Horidaspur Royal Technical School & College of Gopalganj in a final round match of the National School Football tournament held today at Outer stadium, Palton in the city.
In the day’s match, Raj Uddin scored a hat-trick with four goals while he was well supported by Tanvir Ahmed and Joynal Ahmed who struck twice each for the winners. Hasan Mia scored the consolation goal for the losers.
Raj Uddin of the winning team was named the player of the match for his impressive performance in the match.
In the day’s second match, Nouhata Govt. High School of Rajshahi recorded a hard-fought solitary goal victory over Moulana Bad High School of Jhenaidah also held at the same venue.
In the day’s proceeding, Toukir Ahmed scored the all-important goal for Nouhata in the very 4th minute of the match and later he was adjudged the best player of the match for his brilliant performance in the match.
A total of eight school teams, split into two groups, are taking part in the final round. The top two teams from each group will qualify for the semifinals and the two top teams will play the final to be held later stage.
Earlier, fifty seven schools from fifty seven districts from across the country took part in the preliminary round of the competition
