BFF-AFC coaching course to serve foundation of coaching pathway

DHAKA, Dec. 18, 2020 (BSS)- As part of its continued effort to improve the quality of coaching at all levels, the Bangladesh Football Federation’s (BFF) coach education department has established BFF AFC Grassroots Coaching Courses that will serve as the foundation of its coaching pathway. Anyone can take the Introduction to grassroots coaching course, said a BFF press release today.

Since it’s designed to be an educational tool and preview of future courses, all those involved with football philosophy will benefit from taking part in the new experience. This course is designed to teach coaches on how to coach children between the ages of 8 and 14 on how to play football. Coaches at this level will be hugely important to kids interested in playing football as they are the first point of contact for kids in the sport. They have an opportunity to make lasting impression at this age level and the reward for them will be to see their players progress through the age levels and ultimately to the national team.

In Bangladesh for the first time 111 coaches took part in the course and after completing the course these grassroots coaches were certified. The newly qualified BFF AFC-coaching Instructor’s coaches conducted these courses. These instructors bring with them a vast knowledge and experience on football and coaching.

After completing three successful BFF AFC grassroots coaching course in Dinajpur, Savar and Dhaka BFF House last month, from today (Friday) BFF AFC grassroots coaching certificate course has started again in another two divisions in Sylhet, BKSP and Khulna. All the participates are facilized with food and accommodation facilities. The five-day coaching course will end on December 22 and be followed by a closing ceremony with guest speakers and certificate distribution ceremony.
