Minor boy drowns in pond in Gangni
MEHERPUR, Dec 17, 2020 (BSS) – A two-year-old minor boy drowned in a pond near his house at Matmura village in Gangni upazila of the district today.
The deceased was identified as Labib, was the son of Jahidul Islam, hailed from the village.
Local people said Labib fell into the pond while playing on its bank this noon. Later, the locals rescued him and took him to a clinic at Bamondi where the on-duty doctor declared him dead.
Officer-in-Charge of Gangni Thana Bozlur Rahman confirmed.
