DHAKA, Dec 17, 2020 (BSS)-Information Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud today expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death Md Shahabuddin, brother-in-law of Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport Minister Obaidul Quader.
In a condolence message, the minister said Shahabuddin will ever be remembered for his works and as a pious person as well.
Hasan, also AL joint general secretary, prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
Shahabuddin, who was a former director of the US-based private organization Winrock, died at a hospital in the city while undergoing treatment.
He was 76. He left behind his wife, two sons and three daughters and a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn his death.
The first Namaz-e-Janaza was held at Merul Badda in the city while the second janaza will be held at Dagonbhuiyan village of Feni tomorrow morning.
Later, he will be buried at his family graveyard.
