Bangladesh Supreme Court Day tomorrow
DHAKA, Dec 17, 2020 (BSS) – The ‘Bangladesh Supreme Court Day’ will be celebrated tomorrow in a limited scale following the health guideline due to the global pandemic coronavirus.
To mark the day, a discussion will be held at the Supreme Court Auditorium with the participation of judges, lawyers and eminent personalities of the both the divisions of the apex court of the country.
The state-owned Bangladesh Television (BTV) and private television Channel 24 will live telecast the discussion at 3pm tomorrow, said Supreme Court’s spokesperson Mohammad Saifur Rahman.
Besides, the programme will also be broadcast through the youtube channel ‘Bangladesh Supreme Court Day’ and other social media.
The Supreme Court authorities at a full court meeting on October 25 in 2017 decided to observe the “Bangladesh Supreme Court Day” on December 18 every year, as the apex court had started its first judicial functions on December 18 as per the constitution of the republic after its independence.
