Bangabandhu strived for a non-communal Bangladesh: Humayun

DHAKA, Dec 16, 2020 (BSS) – Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun today said Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman had strived hard to establish a non-communal Bangladesh.

“Bangabandhu was sure of achieving independence and he contemplated throughout nine months long struggle of the Liberation War for restructuring the post independent country and his life time politics aimed at building a non-communal and economic emancipation of the teeming million,” he said.

The minister said this while speaking as the chief guest at a discussion at the Industries Ministry in the city, said a press release.

Industries Ministry organized the discussion on the occasion of the Great Victory Day 2020.

State Minister for Industries Kamal Ahmed Majumder was the special guest at the discussion while Industries Secretary KM Ali Azam presided over it.

Humayun said Industries Ministry has relentlessly striving as per directives of Bangabandhu’s daughter Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to set up advanced and digital
technology dependent industries across the country.

He called upon senior officials of the ministry and its associate bodies to expand industrialization from technology based know how.

Kamal Ahmed Majzumder said all economic activities, including massive industrialization, are going in full swing in the country owing to the stimulus packages, announced by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
