Khulna pacer Shohidul’s father passes away
DHAKA, Dec 14, 2020 (BSS)—Gemcon Khulna is set to miss its inform pacer Shohidul Islam who returned to his home after his father passed away on Sunday night at his residence in Siddhirganj, Narayanganj.
Khulna will take on Gazi Group Chattogram in the first Qualifier of the Bangabandhu T20 Cup today, a match which Shohidul will not be able to play.
Khulna however is yet to name the replacement of Shohidul, who so far claimed 13 wickets for the side in seven matches.
The seamer is currently ranked third in the list of highest wicket-takers in the tournament.
The pacer is expected to join the team next soon subject to the clearance of his Covid-19.
