CHAPAINAWABGANJ, Dec 14, 2020 (BSS) – Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested two alleged drug peddlers with 3.5kgs of hemp from Chapainawabganj Sadar upazila last night.
The arrested were identified as Md. Alam, 40, of Nayanshuka village under Chapainawabganj municipality and Md. Minhazul Islam, 29, of Balugram under Baliadanga union of Chapainawabganj Sadar upazila.
RAB said an operation team of RAB-5 from Chapainawabganj camp, on secret information, raided Durgapur village under Chapainawabganj municipality at around 7.30 pm and arrested the duo with the hemp.
Later, the arrested persons were handed over to the police of Chapainawabganj Sadar thana.
A case was recorded with the police station in this connection.
